Things I Love – #25
I’m doing a quick favorite things post today because I received a few new items in the mail that I want to share before they are sold out. (Click on photos or blue words below for more details or to order.)
This ASOS Design longline trench coat in stone is very high quality and it’s only $79. It’s fully lined, with pockets and nice buttons. This feels like a much more expensive trench coat. It does run large though so size down. I just ordered one size smaller and hopefully that’s small enough.
This ASOS Design ribbed oversized t-shirt dress in stone is really soft, cute and only $36.00. I love the neckline. This color can sometimes wash me out, but this particular shade is great with my skin tone. It does run large so size down one size; or two, if you prefer a less oversized look.
I love Havaianas flip flops for the beach and pool. We are going to Mexico in late March so I’m stocking up on a few beach basics. Yes, I bought all three pairs, but they will last me through the summer.
This Free People Maiya Sweater Set is slouchy and comfy. I bought it in oatmeal and I’m thinking about buying it in black. This set runs large so size down one size.
This Banana Republic ribbed maxi sweater dress is selling out, but I now own it in black and camel. I’m wearing theses dresses with a Moto boot and cardigan now, but I’ll definitely be wearing them in the spring with a pair of sneakers or sandals.
I wore this Banana Republic open cardigan in navy over the camel maxi dress above.
This market tote from Society Social just makes me smile.
Please reach out if items are sold out in your size and I’ll try to find something similar. Happy shopping!

Things I Love – #12
We’re still spending a lot of time at home, so this Things I Love post has comfortable clothes and household items. (Click on the photos below or any blue words for more information about each product.)
I love this Cashmere Cocoon Cardigan from Jenni Kayne. It feels like a soft, cozy hug. Great for cool summer nights or an office with air conditioning.
I listed the Lululemon Align Crop pant in Things I Love – #6 but they now offer a wide leg version. Just as comfortable as the traditional legging, but it can almost pass as a real pair of pants.
This J Jill tank makes a great layering piece under sweaters or sheer tops. It’s reversible – a scoop neck on one side and a v-neck on the other side. I buy several in white every spring and fall.
Every time I wear these comfortable leopard Keds I get compliments from strangers. They are perfect for all of the walking in Chicago and they look as good with a pair of dress pants as they do with a skirt or leggings. They run a little small though, so size up.
This trio of vases is a great deal on Amazon. They’re the perfect size for grocery store bouquets or for candles. When using them for flowers, I like to put glass beads or rocks in the bottom to give them additional weight so they are less likely to tip.
I bought this basket set on Amazon and used them as a “gift bag” for a baby shower. I filled the smaller basket with baby shampoo, body wash, diaper cream, etc. and placed it inside the large basket with more baby goodies and lots of bright tissue paper. They’re a great size for organizing on shelves or counters. I bought this large rope basket to store extra pillows and blankets in our Chicago apartment.
I bought these Phone Soap phone sanitizers for Christmas gifts last year. Little did I know how important they would be with Covid-19. Did you know a cell phone reportedly has 18 times more bacteria than a public restroom? Yuck! The Phone Soap will sanitize your phone (and anything else that can fit inside the sanitizer, like keys or credit cards) in ten minutes.
It was time to refresh our bath towels and Parachute had a sale on towels and linens over Memorial Day weekend, so I restocked both bathrooms. The classic bath towel is large and plush.
